Ultra fast recovery diode (FRED) is a semiconductor diode with good switching characteristics and ultra-short reverse recovery time. It is commonly used as a continuous current, absorption, clamping, isolation, output, and input rectifier for the switching devices of high-frequency inverter devices to fully utilize the functions of the switching devices. Ultra fast recovery diodes are essential components for the high-frequency (above 20khz) and solid-state development of electrical equipment.
